Meet Sutho
I’m Emily Sutherland — founder of Sutho Studio and a qualified cert III and IV Personal Trainer with over 6 years of experience coaching across multiple gyms and client backgrounds.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Human Biology and Society from University of California, Los Angeles, where I explored the interwoven nature of movement, health, and the cultural, social, and environmental forces that influence how we care for our bodies. This degree gave me a deep understanding of how life’s challenges and triumphs shape our relationship with movement, allowing me to meet you exactly where you are in your health and movement journey to support meaningful, lasting progress.
I am now deepening my knowledge of the human body through a Bachelor of Chiropractic at the Australian Chiropractic College, allowing me to support my clients beyond functional movement — into pain-free, long-term strength and longevity.
My work is strength-led, with a niche focus on empowering women to lift heavier for their long-term health, while supporting all clients in discovering what works best for their body. I have experience training pregnant and pre and post natal women having worked at Bump, Malvern in 2025. With constant reading and research, I continue to learn more about how to best facilitate menopausal women during their hormonal shifts —An inevitable, evolutionary stage of life for women that remains under-researched and under-supported.
Ultimately, I coach through a lens of balance, intuition, sustainability, and self-trust — helping people build functional strength that carries into every area of life, no matter the stage of life you are at.
